Portofino Island Resort is a private oasis at the end of Pensacola Beach. It is the last development on the island, bordering the pristine Gulf Islands National Seashore, and is surrounded by the natural beauty of unspoiled dunes, a rare coastal dune lake, and the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

All of the residences are on the fifth floor or higher. Each unit is at least twice as wide as the average beach condo, so every room has a water view. The private balconies of each unit, accessible from the main living area and every bedroom, provide spectacular views of the water and Santa Rosa Island. The resort encompasses five residential buildings and the Lifestyle Center in a meticulously maintained 28 acre island retreat. Three of the towers are on the gulf side and two towers are on the sound side. The unique triangular shape of the residential towers and distance between buildings allow wide-open views from every balcony. Each of Portofino’s five Mediterranean-inspired towers features an outdoor pool and whirlpool spa, as well as covered parking within the lower floors of the building.

2BR | 2.5BA units offer 1,333 SqFt of living space, and a 170 SqFt private balcony. 3BR | 3.5BA units offer 2,034 SqFt of of luxury living, and include a fantastic 472 SqFt wraparound balcony, allowing panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico and Santa Rosa Sound.

The sound side of the resort is also home to the Lifestyle Center, an incredible 40,000 square-foot facility housing a 25-meter indoor heated pool, hot tubs, a full-service spa and gym that provides state of the art fitness equipment such as a full circuit of CYBEX strength training machines, and cardiovascular exercise equipment. Classes for yoga, spin, Pilates, and aerobics are also available.

Outside of the Lifestyle Center, you’ll find an infinity pool with a large deck area and an abundance of tables and chaise lounges for relaxing. Rubico clay tennis courts and the Adventure Cove Waterpark round out the amenities of Portofino Island Resort.

Activities are available on property, including paddleboard, sail, surf, kayak, and cycles. Or just reserve a beach umbrella on the sugar white sand of the Gulf of Mexico, and enjoy a quiet afternoon.

Several dining options are available as well. The Market provides deli-style fare and gourmet meals to go. The Smoothie Bar, offers fruit juices, Starbucks coffees and teas, healthy snacks, and smoothies. The Terrazzo Grill offers burgers, salads, Panini’s, pizza and plenty of other kid-friendly options on a seasonal basis. And the newly renovated Terracotta restaurant is a casually elegant restaurant serving the finest seafood and steaks.

Nearly 40 miles of designated walking and biking paths and lanes run the through the National Seashore to the east, and through the heart of Pensacola Beach to the west. Bike, drive, or ride the Beach Trolley to Portofino Boardwalk in the center of the island, where shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and island activities are concentrated.
