Panferio Drive is one of the main street that runs along the back of the island on Santa Rosa Sound. This “Sound Side†of the island is home to more private waterfront residences, as well as a few vacation rental homes. This concentration of private homes has a higher concentration of year round residences, and many of the properties have seawalls and private docks with boat lifts. Some of the houses on this street also have a shoreline of sandy beach, providing them with the feel of a private island getaway.
Venture a few blocks down the beach and hop aboard the new Pensacola Ferry system to explore the greater Pensacola area by water. With stops at Ft Pickens, the Boardwalk, and downtown Pensacola, you will find world class art and museums, historical tours, the Blue Wahoos Minor League Baseball team, shopping, and dining.
